The person must be organized, detail oriented, and a self-starter able to work with little supervision.
A typical day can vary greatly, and the person can be asked to do production work, QC testing, and/or R&D work with Engineering.
The production work would require some electro-mechanical assembly skills for assembling small to large robots.
The quality work would include testing of incoming components as well as functionality testing for finished assemblies or sub systems.
The R&D work would-be hands-on work with engineering to help develop prototype concepts and designs.
There is a possibility of some travel to help the fielding of newly shipped projects.
Primary Duties &
Responsibilities:
Assembles, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical, mechanical, and robotic assembliesReads and comprehends manuals and related manufacturing documentationTroubleshoots and assesses electrical/mechanical systems while providing feedback and implements approved solutionsMaintains thorough system documentation and recordsAssemble mechanical parts, as instructed in accordance to manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions, process documents, travelers, etc.
) into sub-units or complete units.
Wire electronic components as instructed in accordance to manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions, process documents, travelers, etc.
) into sub-units or complete unitsAssembles repairs and fabricates parts by operating mechanical equipment or tools, in conjunction with adhering to proper handling and safety requirementsPerforms work in accordance with Teledyne FLIR standards and or industry standardsKeep work area clean and organized as to present a professional work environmentComplete any other work-related task as directed by supervisorJob
Qualifications:
Applicants must be either a US citizen, US national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the US Departments of State or Commerce.
Associates degree or higher in an electronic or networking field preferred3
years' experience in a manufacturing/production environmentSchematic reading and comprehension (Mechanical & Electrical)Measuring tools (Multi-meters, Continuity Testers, Tape Measure, Calipers, etc.
)Hand tools (Wrenches, Electric Screwdrivers, Torque tools, Small power tools)Testing equipment (Multi-meters, power supplies, load banks, signal generators, oscilloscope etc.
)Familiarity with performing leak checks and vacuum seals on equipmentMechanical assembly concepts to include gear and motor drive assemblyEpoxies, adhesives, loc-tite, grease, and lubricantsAssembly and repair of various termination types (crimp and solder)Average PC Skills and Microsoft Office experienceSD Awareness preferredLean/Continuous Improvement (5S) experience preferredTechnical capacity with problem solving/analysis skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsTeam player who shows initiativeGood organization skills and very detailed orientedGeneral housekeeping skills in maintaining an organized & professional work area.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
