Summary:
This role will work with a strong cross-functional team focused on developing and delivering high performance/high reliability integrated CBRNE systems for US Department of Defense and other customers.
This position will be an authority in Systems Engineering determining sensor, mechanical, electrical, and software/firmware system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for system compatibility.
This role will drive and coordinate the design of subsystems and their integration into the total system.
The position will identify, analyze and resolve program support deficiencies and develop and recommend corrective actions.
The ideal candidate will also lead the development, implementation and improvement of company engineering processes with a concentration on new and existing product development, project management, intellectual property development and expansion of overall system engineering capabilities.
Additionally, the candidate should have a demonstrated competency in decision-making, flexibility, planning and organizing, initiative, and interpersonal skills and be a champion of cross-team collaboration and drive the well-being of the overall organization.
Primary Duties &
Responsibilities:
Coordinate cross functional activities with all design/engineering functions; optical, mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software Transform a customer operational need into a description of system performance parameters and system configuration using definition, analysis, synthesis, design, test and evaluation Perform analyses for cost, reliability, maintainability, testability, survivability, and other quality factors Perform risk assessments and generate mitigation plans Develop verification and validation methods, processes, logic, and plans in support of program milestones Oversees technical progress and direction of program Provide a logical, methodical system design approach to optimize the completeness of the system design including hardware, software, facilities, personnel, and support equipment Manage engineering and business practices that improves design cycles, cost of manufacture, and related support initiatives Write customer proposals and white papers where necessary Provide technical interface with customers Required Job
Qualifications:
Applicants must be either a US citizen, US national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the US Departments of State or Commerce.
BS degree and 8-12 years of experience or MS/PhD degree and 5-8 years of experience in electro-mechanical and related systems Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products Ability to define and conduct experiments to identify the root cause of difficult interdisciplinary technical problems, capable of analyzing alternate approaches and developing practical solutions to solve complex problems Strong collaboration & teamwork is necessary to establish successful working relationships with product team and when working with other parts of the company Strong written communication ability is necessary to support the dissemination of timely information to collaborative teams Continuous learner; able to learn new approaches, tools, and methodologies to stay ahead of technology changes as they relate to systems engineering Personal initiative and motivation will be vital to achieve desired performance results with projects that support the organization Influential oral communication and presentation skills; when making oral and graphical presentations able to secure the interest and involvement of the team while developing/delivering a clear and concise message.

Qualifications:
Knowledge in program management/scheduling, ETC, EAC and earned value analysis Experience with various engineering design tools (eg Solidworks, EPDM) Understanding of chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear (CBRN) sensors and devices and related operational mission requirements Familiarity with EO/IR camera systems, radar systems, and experience with electro mechanical systems and controls Proven record in project management, product development (phase-gate) and New Product Introductions (NPI) Existing DOD Secret Level Clearance Teledyne FLIR and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
