PLC PROGRAMMER Conveyor Handling Company (CHC), one of the nation's leading material handling systems integrators, is seeking a PLC Programmer/Field Service Controls Engineer to join our team.

This is an entry to mid-level position.
A background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, ElectricalEngineering or any other relevant field of study preferred, but can be substituted for relevant/equivalent experience programming PLC's and commissioning systems.
Training will be provided, must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities:
Write PLC programs in ladder logic (Allen-Bradley)Develop modular logic blocks following internal coding standardsDevelop HMI interfacesModify existing programsProvide technical support and troubleshooting for field issues, working with installation and service department, working along with electricians and other controls engineersTravel to customer sites to perform I/O Checkout and field startupPerform minor wiring changesParticipate in design reviews and creating field layout drawings in AutoCAD ElectricalMaintain records/repository of programs, schematic drawings, and onsite modifications to field layoutAssist sales/engineering teams in developing and criticizing design elements of a systemDevelop user manuals and provide necessary onsite training to customersPosition requires travel up to 50-70%Education &
Experience:
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other relevant field of study or equivalent experienceExperience in programming PLC's using Ladder Logic or experience with programming in any other scripting language (Python, JavaScript, Perl, VBA, etc.
)Proficiency in AutoCAD desiredUnderstanding of electro-mechanical systems, basic manual tools/power tools operationUnderstanding of network topology and communication methods; serial, ethernet, wireless comms.
