00 Job Summary Serves as liaison between MedStar Health Homecare and referring physician offices to ensure completion of verbal orders and certifications through consistent distribution, follow up and education.
Prioritizes work to achieve maximum fiscal benefit.
Minimum Qualifications Education/Training Associates degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
Experience 2 years related healthcare, financial or customer service experience.
License/Certification/Registration No special certification, registration or licensure is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook - ability to learn new software programs quickly.
Ability to work independently; research and use available resources to problem solve.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards.
Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
Proficient in Excel and other HCHB reports to identify priority episodes.
Manages Home Care order reports to ensure agencies are meeting regulatory and financial deadlines.
Independently prioritizes work file to optimize weekly revenue impact.
Resolves issues preventing physicians from signing in a timely manner including correcting orders sent to the wrong physician, incorrect physician contact information and erred orders.
Fully proficient in EMR to most efficiently follow up on outstanding orders and research issues.
Escalates physician issues to a manager in a timely manner.
Develops relationships with all physicians/physician staff in assigned tracking group through regular communication and office visits as deemed necessary.
Ongoing collaboration with physician/physician staff to resolve barriers and promote prompt return of medical orders.
Knowledgeable in regulatory and corporate standards for homecare orders including what determines a true order, which orders require signatures and requirements for a complete order.
Identifies opportunities for education to physicians and their staff regarding the requirements for and their responsibility for signing homecare orders.
Ensures physician orders adhere to regulatory standards to mitigate claims issues.
Researches and proactively seeks to fill knowledge gaps within the clinical team in key physician order regulations, ie understanding the role of the following physician versus the hospitalist in continued care orders.
This may include contributing to the development of training materials as appropriate.
Works with Quality staff and other stakeholders regarding order error trends and corrections.
Identifies order issue trends by individual clinicians, teams or types of orders and escalates to management.
Achieves individual and team goals associated with reduction of unbilled claims/reduction of outstanding revenues due to unsigned orders and reductions of days outstanding for orders.
Participates in analysis of departmental outcomes and process review/updates and/or best practices for improved departmental outcomes.
Performs provider credential verification, updating provider database, assigning provider to medical record, determining necessity of order updates and special project data collection as requested.
Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts.
Participates in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teams.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
