Maintaining and updating the filing system of electronic and physical HR and employee records.
Assist with screening resumes to ensure minimum qualifications are met and assist with scheduling interviews.
Assist with new hire paperwork and ensure that new employees complete all necessary file items (New Hire Payroll form, I-9, tax forms, etc).
Assist with responding to all employment verification requests requested by outside parties in accordance with company policy.
Assist with completing background checks and following up on employment references.
Assist with scheduling and compiling necessary paperwork to conduct employee benefit meetings.
Enter and update employee data, including personal information, employment changes, and benefits, into the HRIS system while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist with HR compliance efforts, including data integrity checks and employee file audits.
Perform other related duties as required to support the overall operations of the Human Resources Department.
Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate with others- both verbally and in writing - to acquire and share information.
Knowledge of risk management principles as they relate to FLSA, EEOC, and other state and federal HR policies and procedures.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
