Sr Mechanical Process Engineer

Our client, a design engineering and construction management firm that specializes in industrial facilities, is seeking a senior level Mechanical Process Engineer.
The Mechanical Process Engineer will create designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of projects including power, process, industrial, and manufacturing facilities.
They will lead the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting mechanical plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs Lead or execute Mechanical (HVAC, Utilities, Industrial Ventilation) and Process designs in the form of process simulations, modeling, and engineering calculations documented on PFD's, P&ID's, general arrangement drawings, specifications, design basis, and associated lists.
Actively participate in our internal quality assurance process by reviewing and checking process group work products.
Support the proposal process by providing project estimates and deliverables.
Support the development and growth of key client relationships.
During project execution, research and analyze data to make sound design decisions aligned with company, client, and project objectives and applicable codes.
Drawing from experience, apply theory in a practical context to determine feasibility of design, identify potential process upsets and malfunctions incorporating appropriate remediations, and apply commercially available technology for process execution.
Observe professional ethics, both in the application of codes and standards and personnel interactions.
Job Requirements:
Requirements Bachelors Degree from an accredited university Minimum 20 years of experience Experience with the following systems and equipment:
Mechanical:
Industrial ventilation; Utilities:
compressed air, steam & condensate, chilled water, cooling tower, specialty gases; HVAC Process:
P&ID development; Process Piping; Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Ability to develop Client estimates Excellent communication skills including experience in dealing with other employees and external clients Ability to provide leadership Ability to write scopes of work PE license is required Travel will be required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
