Summary:
The Manufacturing Production Planner plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required material to support production and maintain production schedule.
Resolves discrepancies, material shortages and maintains build schedules with production and other departments.
Controls delivery needs schedule for planned material and works with procurement to resolve any shortage or material changes from engineering.
Works with Program Managers, Engineering, Production Manager and Purchasing Manager to understand the scope of the program and aligns those needs with the assigned material buyers.
Job Duties:
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules for both new sales and/or service support.
Reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules and conferring with department supervisors and leads to determine progress of work and completion dates, inventory levels and solving production problems.
Frequently interacts with internal customers of high visibility, requiring independent judgment to negotiate and meet customer's requirements with available company resources.
The position has direct responsibility for the establishment and maintenance of a production plan and has direct input to the material delivery plan, directly influencing manufacturing cost through the proper planning and execution of production/service scheduling.
Work in partnership with Manufacturing to assure all production orders and requirements are met.
Planning, procuring and scheduling material to support daily production requirements and fulfilling customer's expectations.
Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand.
Review incoming orders against forecast / material availability, adjusting as necessary and communicating product availability to appropriate parties in the organization.
Create detailed schedules, analyze material constraints, and prioritize production/service orders for manufacturing optimization.
Review priorities with production to ensure sales commitments are met.
Monitor progress and status of production work orders and ensures work is rescheduled / prioritized when issues impact the original schedule (eg material shortages, capacity, engineering, etc.
).
Analyze and assist in preparing documents needed for shipments.
Review manufacturing variances prior to completing orders.
Creation and release of production orders to support manufacturing builds.
Job Requirements:
Applicants must be either a US citizen, US national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the US Departments of State or Commerce.

years of experience in a manufacturing purchasing environment required.
Recent experience in production planning, procurement, material control and scheduling using an MRP automated system required.
SAP experience strongly preferred with experience in Backflushing material to work orders.
Strong working knowledge of excel and other Microsoft office products.
Capable executing V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, and basic formulas.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required.
BS degree or equivalent experience required.
APICS certified preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent planning tool preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
