Design Manager

The Design Manager will lead the design team with advanced degrees of direct project responsibilities while utilizing a fully developed knowledgebase of the telecommunications site development process.
Project work will focus on new site development of macro and small cell sites, projects modifying existing telecommunications facilities, fiber optic networks, and other project types as required.
Direct project responsibilities will focus on the production and accuracy of design drawings.
Indirect project responsibilities will support the internal NB+C manager with the day-to-day management of the design team and will include mentorship and training.
Advanced problem solving and analytics will be employed and shared with the team.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of Fiber OSP/ISP design teamOversee production and delivery of project designs and collaborate with Engineering Market Manager on project assignments and resource allocationDelegate tasks to design staff, facilitate collaboration between design staff, engineers, and field technicians Manage design production, aid in Fiber OSP/ISP design production and plan review for telecommunications equipment upgrades and modifications, new site builds, and fiber optic networksProvide quality analysis and quality control review of Fiber engineering drawings for consistency with CAD standards, technical accuracy, and constructabilityMaintain and develop NB+C CAD standards, library, and CAD templatesDevelop design training material and provide training seminarsProvide site specific design guidance to junior designersOversee production of site-specific traffic control plansOversee production of underground utility profiles for proposed conduit path from existing infrastructure to proposed destination in public right-of-way and private propertyFinalize and deliver construction drawings Efficiently produce high-quality, accurate structural/civil/fiber engineering drawings using AutoCAD for telecommunications site builds, site modifications, and fiber option builds Assist design team members through shared knowledge, training and mentorship associated with similar project responsibilitiesCollaborate with Engineering Market Manager to identify and correct project performance issues

Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Construction or Technical Degree preferred5
years' experience with the production of engineering drawings telecommunications new site builds and upgrades and/or fiber optic networks Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office SuiteWorking knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, RISA 3D and tnxTower, or other structural analysis software Fiber and Telecommunications industry experience required, including but not limited to civil and/or structural engineering, electrical engineering, fiber OSP/ISP Design, geotechnical, utilities, inspections, construction and project managementProficiency in building codes and standards used in the telecommunications industry and their applicationTechnical knowledge related to common fiber/telecommunications industry considerations, such as, right-of-way/easements, GIS and aerial pole survey (including attachment heights, span lengths, and pole loading) cable placement techniques and strategiesProfessional and applicable understanding of project management principles with proven a proven track record of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management abilities Ability to work autonomously without supervision requiredExperience with the production of structural and/or civil engineering drawings for telecommunications new site builds, upgrades, and fiber optic networks (or similar site engineering drawings) required Ability to review and analyze site documentation and gather necessary information to complete the assignmentAbility to interpret existing building, tower, and other structural drawingsKnowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards and construction processes and techniques Strong design skills Industry knowledge and telecommunications technology trends Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships across multiple disciplines within the organization.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
